@Samrat, there is an area largely marked as CBD in AA2; this is the road that would stretch beyond Ambuja Ecospace business park. Below is a snapshop of it where you can see land marked for AXIS bank, Allahabad bank, Calcutta stock exchange etc. I would love to explore this area but unfortunately there is no road leading out to here.

Because of collapse 'Kundalia Building' at Bhawanipur in the 80s, KMC stopped sanctioning any building plan of 6+ floors. That's why you will see lots of building built in 80s and 90s with only six floors. In early 2000 the rule was relaxed and we are witnessing huge high rise building activity.

Now it is clear as to the location of the Hub, but unfortunately we can't reach there due to absence of Road.
I guess it is the same arterial road going past Tata Hospital, Infospace, DLF IT Sez, Tata eden court & Ecospace, and eventually reach the Hub area. Right?

Right. Though there were some constructions of residential buildings in the 12-15 flr bracket in this period of 80's & early 90's, they were strictly confined to the posh pockets of Ballygunge & Alipore. A few which come to my mind are Rajanigandha, Paramount, Babylon, Sunny Towers, Rajhans, Kusum, Ashoka, Green view and so on.
The fact is that Highrise office towers dried up during this time with only a few of them like, Krishna, Jeevan Sudha, Shantiniketan, and few more actually taking shape.

Right. The road is built till Ecospace and then nothing. Surprised that no infrastructure has been built beyond that point.

I think of G+ 20 buildings are becoming the high rise standard in Kolkata, apart from a few like South City or so. I feel we need to push the envelope and start getting near the 30 and 40 storeyed, with high safety and fire prevention standards obviously.

It will be symbolic of the rich history of Bengal & Kolkata, being built with the colonial theme keeping the 'British Raj' and Calcutta as the 'Imperial Capital of the British India'.
