I feel SWR is full of tamilians. They are not bothered about promoting kannada, tourist places in karnataka. Even the recent Satyamangalam train was pronounced wrongly in Kannada(see the kannada version of train name in previous page)
Its high time our RM consolidate all kannadigas working in different zones and post them to SWR Hubballi.

Manguluru is under SR Palakkad division

As Manguluru is under SR Palakkad division and this service is operated by SR.The Name plate should be in Kannada but as most of the official working in Mangaluru station are from kerala so they have made it in malayalam , our MP from D.K should take a immediate action on this

It is not promotion, but business. Lots of people from Karnataka visit these Navagraha temples in TN. In weekends you can see lots of vehicles with KA registrations roaming in Cauvery delta area of TN , for these temple visit. Even VIPs like Yeddy, SMK, Deve Gowda also regularly visit these places. KSRTC runs 4 buses(2 Volvos) from Bangalore to Kumbakonam, and two from Mysore to Kumbakonam in the week ends to facilitate these navagraha temple visit. KSTDC also has package tours covering these temples. Now SWR also trying to make money out of these pilgrimage trips.

What an irony where there are 70 buses running everyday to Mangaluru they do not want to run trains but just 4 buses can fill a train

Even Karnataka has lot of holy places like Udupi, kukke subramanya, etc but we have not seen any such train till now. You will find KA registered vehicles from all over Karnataka in these holy places.
Leave temples ,as Naveen said even to important cities like Mangaluru, ballari, chikkamagaluru, hasana etc dont have proper train connectivity from bengaluru. We want SWR to do so called business in Karnataka also.

You are Comparing Mangalore with Kumbakonam(which is a smaller town than Ramanagaram )

SWR's that train is not regular one. It runs during some seasons for tourism package. These kind of tourism package trains are being run for places in Karnataka too. The charges are higher than regular train. Depending upon the season, it runs this kind of tourist circuit trains to different areas. They will cancel if there is insufficient booking.
