Hamilton, ON: Corktown tour

Corktown is an area southeast of Downtown Hamilton where many Irish settled around the time of the potato famine (mid 1800's).

The Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo Railway was once a major source of employment for the Corktown area. Now this arte moderne building serves as the Hamilton GO centre.

Here is some of the older residential area, now mixed with highrise apartments.

The rail lines are visible in much of the neighbourhood

Thanks for the pictures, my favorite building in hamilton; the cool artdeco GO building, how about some pictures from the inside.

Is the round trip ticket to T.O. $32 still?

It's only $17.70 round trip to Union Station in TO, but I think they're raising the fares in September

I feel like I am looking at the sreenshots from Sim City 5.

All these buildings look like they come right out of Sim City.

Were they built by construction workers? or did a giant mouse appear through the clouds and clicked the spot where the residential buidling would go
