thanks for creating this thread...:cheers1: it's been a while since there has been a Jakarta thread in the world forum...
btw should this thread be exclusively for skylines pictures or can we put streetscapes also here...? or maybe create new thread specially for Jakarta streetscapes...? your call
somehow it does look like Bangkok but if you look deeper then there are noticable differences...
Jakarta's skyline mainly lies on the 7km :? stretch of Jalan Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin, wheras Bangkok i think is located in multiple centres such as Sukhumvit, Silom... however Jakarta is getting some multiple centres as well like the new emerging Sudirman Central Business District and Mega Kuningan.
not sure what you mean by pros though but what I feel is that Jakarta is not a tourist attraction city... basically it's just where people from all over the country mostly come for to make money...
then again there are some tourist attractions in Jakarta, although not as interesting or "grand" if compared to Bangkok
thank you... i agree the architects here in Jakarta is really creative in designing new highrises, especially new glassy buildings that are rising up...
AnOz, I would hate to have to delete all your photos you have posted without credits, so I will give you a chance to edit in credits for them . thank you.
