Station North development should improve it so at least there is something in the works within the near future. Howard Street...not so much.

The other thing that doesnt help.. atleast between Fulton and say Harford Road is the fact that North Ave is a Truck Route.. I know trucks need to get through the City too.. but having dump trucks and 18 wheelers zooming around does not make it into a desirable street. Sure it has other issues such as blight.. but being a truck route doesnt help either.

Station North has made big strides in recent years. Years ago I would NEVER have thought I'd see MICA and places like Joe Squared on North Ave. What's interesting about that area is it's lack of chain retail. It's all local bootstrap business, not getting much help from the city and it's working in its own way. I know a couple people involved in those businesses and they are courageous, enterprising people. Bully for them!
