The river crested a few days ago in Grand Rapids, and the river is finally receding after having done a lot of damage just outside the city. Fortunately, the floodwalls largely held, downtown, with the exception that the Plaza Towers - a hotel/apartment tower - had to be evacuated when water flooded its basement:
