Pure luck that an 8.6 magnitude eathquake did not result in massive tsunamis.
Otherwise the Jehovah's Witnesses, Branch Davidians and other doomsday cults would have had a field day over this one. |

This has been utterly devastating for those who don't live there!!
By the way, I once emailed the head of the international monitoring stations and asked if earthquakes were increasing in frequency. He actually said that there were statistically less of them occurring now than when they started recording them. He said what had increased in frequency was the proliferation of modern news agencies with technology now allowing rapid broadcasting scrambling to report on quakes each time they happened where as a lot of quakes would have gone unreported or little reported in the past. End of days for sure! lol. House prices will crash and burn first, mark my words, and that's more likely to cause end of days. I'd still recommend stocking up on guns and ammo though, and learning how to farm, hunt, and slaughter your own feed. Effective blade work will come in handy when the time comes to take out those trying to take over your patch. Slicing human flesh and watching the life drain will be much easier once you've been de-sensitized from the food slaughter. It's only one step beyond. Prepare! . Lol. This thread is a bit like watching a pack of hyenas swarm on an unfortunate gazelle.
