Cool thread.... How do you know I love martial art?

However, there is something that is not right in this poster...

The weapon(Tonfa in Japanese) he is holding is not really used by the Chinese martial artists. I used to participate in numerous 'Martial Art Open Tournaments' across north western United States and western Canada and I'd never seen any Kung Fu practitioners use such a weapon.

Some people might claim that these tonfas originated in China or Indoesia, but they are actually traditional Okinawan fighting tools along with Sai and Bruce Lee's famous Two sections staff (Nunchaku). In the tournaments, I observed that the karate competitors used them a lot while the Chinese martial artists used mostly long sticks, spears or swords.

Btw, the way he holds the tonfas is not the proper way to do it either...

Guai 拐/ or Tonfa, is Shaolin's traditional /old weapon, may be they use less now.
There is a DVD about Shaolin's Guai sell on the Japan shop -- Shaolin traditional Guai.
http://mall.cau1.com/t/bjshop68/item4108141.html

You have to learn the proper way how to hold the Guai from Shaolin's monk.
And Okinawa's martial art was Chinese influenced.

There are few kinds of Guai 拐。

They're acrobats, not martial artists. Imo, the only true martial artist among the stars is my hero, Bruce Lee.

成家班 Jackie Chan Stunt Team

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Chan_Stunt_Team

The Jackie Chan Stunt Team also known as Jackie Chan's Stuntmen Association is a group of stuntmen and martial artists who work alongside Jackie Chan.

The group originated from the relationships Jackie formed in his early starring roles in Hong Kong action movies. Several of his co-stars and stuntmen hired by the film studios began working together regularly. This engendered a familiarity of one other's skills and abilities and it made sense for them to become a working team. Some of the members had received training at the Peking Opera schools, similar to Chan.
