The front portion is 5 storeys high. The back portion is 25 storeys high. The site was commercialised a few months ago so maybe that supports the idea of making an office for the Technical Department at Warid Telecom. It wont be hosting other departments such as HR and Marketing. Its just for the Tech side.

Its only a kilometer away from Thokar and cost is around $70/sqft. Its designed by Architect Ahmad Mukhtar, the corporate architect of Bank Alfalah. His biggest achievement is the restoration of Shaahdin Manzil.

I'll post some more info later on this and Zayed Centre.

The Head Quarter for Warid Telecom is a very challenging project. As initially Al Imam was required to do a Master Switch Center (MSC) for Warid network which is a five storey highly technical building. Once the project was built Warid management decided to put up a 25 storey building at the back of the existing MSC Building.

This sequence though has limited the option at site, however the challenge itself is quite exciting to put up a scheme which should be highly energy efficient ,intelligent building which could fulfill the ever growing needs of Warid Telecom.

Itís Salient features are the double skin ventilation facade which makes the heat insulation system more efficient and enhances the air conditioning and the ventilation system. Another important aspect of the interior is an alternating three storey atrium at every 4th floor of the building. These atriums not only give beautiful garden views from every floor but also good amount of natural light in the depth of building which provides an opportunity to open up windows in them for natural light. All these qualities make this building altogether an interesting design.

Structure coming up does not look anything like the one in the render. But lets wait and see how it goes before we form our opinions.

That's exactly what I'm thinking! The pics look like that of a warehouse.

The part of the structure coming up right now thats covered in brick looks like the base of the 5 storey building, but just without the grey facade. The top portion of the building under construction, which is concrete, is the part where the glass portion will be. I think this is one of the better designed buildings in Pakistan that used a native architect.
