Hyderabad Metro has its way near Telangana Assembly
DC CORRESPONDENT | September 21, 2014, 01.09 am IST

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has been forced to soften its stand on realignment after L&T Metro Rail’s threat to walk out of the project. Barring Sultan Bazaar, the Telangana government is unlikely to insist on realignment now near the Assembly and Moazzam Jahi Market where pillars have already been laid.

It may be recalled that except for Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao seeking realignment during his maiden speech in the Assembly in June, the government did not send any official communication to L&T in this regard.

With the latest developments, the government is in no mood to order realignment except for asking the company to avoid Sultan Bazaar, where no work has been started.

Fast-track approvals are being given now to begin work in other core areas of the city. The sudden decision of the government to divert traffic near Malakpet ‘T-Junction’ for two months is being seen in this direction.

All dramabaazi ... but sooner the government provide clearances, the better. Provide ROW in other areas so that at least 2 lines would go commissioned on time.

HYDERABAD: Secretary in the Union Ministry of Urban Development Shankar Agarwal will arrive in Hyderabad on September 23 to review the status of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.

Agarwal will arrive on the morning of September 23 and leave for Delhi the same evening. After arrival in Hyderabad, he will drive to Telangana state secretariat and will review the progress of the project with Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma at the latter’s chambers.

The review assumes importance in the wake of the “leak” of a letter written by L & T Metro Rail to Telangana government that it wants to exit from the project as it had become unviable but later, after discussing the issue with the Chief Secretary, saying that it had changed its mind and that it would take the project forward.

Aren't these the same[ of course some] reasons which L&T stated to TG government in their letter on Sept10..and didn't TG government cried "don't try to destroy brand hyderabad" and nothing that sought will happen its all "andhra media kutra[ cunning plan] "..

irony is now the government is giving same reasons for financial assistance to finance commission..

saboteurs galore

I am watching with interest and amusement these "political" discussions which are passing off as metro discussions. The focal point is always- how do we denigrate a certain hated politician. The best way to describe this was given by this hated individual himself - " withdrawal symptoms".
The bottle of alcohol has been taken away from "them" and the behavior is similar to how an alcoholic would react. First aggression, then sadness, then a descent to begging for the lost alcohol bottle. We are in the first phase right now "aggression".

The saboteurs are everywhere. The trojan horse is right in the middle of the city in the form of a joint capital for 10 years. This will go on for some time.
Entrenched infiltrators have already shown their true colors. Is it any coincidence that several hydel electricity generators at different locations, hundreds of kilometers apart were flooded at the same time. This coupled with frontal attacks by motivated leaked letters about the metro scripted by minions of Quli Qutb Shah 2+13 (this is for the 13 new Hyderabads that will be built in the next 10 years by you know who - L&T of course).

As far as I am concerned, this espionage will go on for some time. The people on this side have to be patient. The Govt. is in good hands.

Let me give you an example as to how these saboteurs are playing a clever game, just one. recently god's own country announced a prohibition policy. Lo and behold the next day our respected media liars come out with a TV segment - "New State" refuses to introduce prohibition. Only this "new state" was chosen for this caption, giving it all kings of negative connotations. The fact is the "new state" never said they would introduce prohibition. In fact, prohibition is a dumb move and introduction of prohibition will lead to negative consequences all around. How would we deal with a media liar such as this, very simple - extend bar hours in the new state to 2 am and even introduce cabaret dancing to rub salt into the wounds.

Thank you

Line cleared for acquisition of Saradhi Studios land for metro rail

TOI epaper
Quote:
After protracted negotiations between Saradhi Studios and metro rail authorities, the studio management has agreed to part with 3,620 square yards of land in Ameerpet for the metro rail project. Originally, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) had sent a proposal in December, 2013, seeking 11,028 sq yards of Saradhi Studios for construction of the Ameerpet interchange, which connects corridor-III (Nagole-Shilparamam) and corridor-I (LB Nagar-Miyapur).

Responding to the proposal, the management began negotiations with metro rail land acquisition authorities. Before issuing a final notification to acquire land, the studio management requested HMRL to reduce the their land requirement. Responding to the plea, a joint in spection was conducted by HMRL and GHMC authorities. They concluded that they could make do with 3,620 sq yards of the studio land instead of 11,028 sq yards for the metro rail project. “The management of Saradhi Studios has agreed to part with their land,“ special deputy collectorcum-land acquisition officer, GHMC, K Shankarachary told STOI.

HMRL hopes to acquire the land by October. As per schedule, work for parking-cum-circulation area at Ameerpet was to have begin in March 2014, but got delayed due to land acquisition problems. Already , HMRL has constructed pillars between Greenland and Ameerpet (near Saradhi Studios). “Once the land is acquired, work will start on the studio premises. We are planning to start earth excavation from December,“ the official replied. Regarding the value of the land, he said HMRL is yet to decide on compensation.

Question

I'm not sure about how NIZ is going to build rapport with the city, but a mascot truly represents an image of an organisation and promotes its brand value. TBH it seems to me as if they are going to deploy the trains in Disneyland or something as the mascot is soo fictional.

just an example,SHERA, the mascot of the commonwealth games in Delhi was a huge success.

Likewise, mascots for metro projects should also be thoughtfully designed because its permanent in nature.

Eg. Mascot for Delhi Metro is a humble looking young girl, with a joined hand gesture.

She is portrayed almost everywhere across the network-on signages at platforms, concourse, inside the train coaches, even on DMRC's website. Here are a few snaps:-

mannequins put up at almost all stations.
