Wikipedia also has Brooklyn Village tower at 24 floors and 400 ft tall.

I wouldn't be too excited about the first ward hotel though. I saw renderings 2 years ago and it was only 15 floors tall max.
I wasn't sure if by looking to partner with an experienced hotel company on the project meant change of brand or not hence the question mark. Even if it is just 15 fl, I will take it #betterthannothing

I'm skeptical...that is really tall for a 30-story residential. That's like an office tower height.

Yeah me too I don't see that tower reaching that height. 30 floors for residential tower would 6 floors higher than those skyhouse towers. That's no where near 500 ft. Unless this building will be built on top of a parking deck and have some really iconic height to roof design.

The Vue is the only residential tower over 500 ft, but it has 51 floors. So I'm curious to see how this tower will reach 500 ft.

Parking decks would actually decrease the height, as they average about 10feet per floor.
Residential is 11-15 per floor, office is 14-20 per floor.

Definitely not. I'd say 340-350, unless there was a massive decorative crown, which isn't something you often see in residential, crowns are the vanity statement of large corporations, not residential towers, hence the costcutting removal of the two 87 foot tall spires that were once to raise Vue Charlotte well above the 200 meter threshold.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on at Levine's parking garage? Is any progress being made on the apartments that are supposed to wrap the parking deck?

A representative of Levine Properties said last week that the company is targeting an October opening for the parking deck. The Blue Line extension is set to start carrying passengers from uptown to UNC Charlotte by March 2018.

The plan is for 264 apartments to wrap the parking deck in a mid-rise building. Levine Properties president Daniel Levine told the Observer earlier this year that he was redesigning the apartment portion of the project, which will include ground-floor retail facing the light rail.

Levine Properties plans to start construction on the First Ward apartments later this summer, as the deck gets closer to completion, the company said last week.
