I take it the above are flats? But want to evoke the grimey warehouse age, in which case they have succeeded. Very grim. Would hate to have to see that block in the flesh every day. Compare with Aldgate Place to see how it should be done.

Fenced off areas, too much grey and little or no commercial space to foster a community. Looks like London alright.

These apartments are not to bad, when I saw the initial illustrations, they looked terrible, but now they are built, they actually look OK. If you want to see something truly horrendous, have a look at Prospect East on Leyton Road, this is a 21st century slum.
