Plans not finalised yet as they initially have some issues with land ownership or something (Ikano side). The MRT already certain at that place and no change to the configuration I believe. At this moment only insiders would know......

Last time ..... ours at Mutiara Damansara is the 5th largest in the world and the largest in Asia. Then the following year, Ikea Shanghai overtook us as the largest in Asia.

Now......Ikea Shanghai is not even in the top 10 largest haha......

mall target to complete early 2016

site office Q2

3,500,000 sqf - 5 levels basement/aboveground parking 5 levels retail
±1,500,000 sqf lettable space

it will be easier for ikano/ikea to complete the substructure before mrt runover their tunnel below them so ikano/ikea will try to rush it through.. it's a challenge for both..

From the plan, 35000+ sqm area is covered by the ikea building.. for a 2 story store, I thought it is going to larger than just 42000sqm?
Anyway my judgement from the floor plan might not precise..
Hi Brannix, is the floor area u mentioned previously confirmed?

The trend for most IKEA stores is that it is not always the case of entirely a 2-floor store. Our Mutiara Damansara store for instance had only the 2nd floor covered like half of its first floor. Remember the marketplace section where you cart your large item furniture? That area had the ceiling height of a factory....... . So if the numbers mentioned are correct, we are looking at 35,000sqm of the first floor while the balance of 6,000sqm is the second floor. The second floor could also be larger as probably the first floor might include many spaces not as 'store space' but utilities and services.

Possible.. like Ikea Damansara, the storage space is double volume, hence not entire second storey with floor area..
Anyway, is good to have one more Ikea store to transform Pandan area into another happening location like Mutiara Damansara..

Likely to see Jalan Nakhoda Yusof to have a access to merge into this Jalan Tun Razak- Smart Highway- KL-Putrajaya Highway junction. And also TRX will have few more access to this intersection.. It is going to be a complicated junction point in KL.. maybe like the one in Mutiara Damansara
