No to be too discouraging - but I think the single antenna thing is getting out of hand in NYC. It seems as if every new tower going up needs to have an antenna on top that gets counted in the total building height. I'm not a fan of the fake boost to the skyline, particularly when Chicago isn't allowed to count their rabbit ears. I think it should be one way, or another.

I sort of get 1 WTC getting away with it for symbolic purposes, even if I still disagree since that IS truly a broadcast antenna; but it just looks like NYC is building 800 feet towers and putting up 500 ft antenna on tip to claim 1300 feet.

And yes, these are antennae right, aren't most broadcasting something? ...

Excuse me? The majority of the new towers doesn't have an antenna, especially when we are talking about residential buildings which are kind of popping up everywhere. Just let 1WTC go man, the whole world knows about its antenna/spire issues. Nordstrom (1,550ft roof) is going to be taller anyway. Have you seen the buildings New York is currently building? All 400m+ roof height! The skyline is getting immensely tall. See my sig for further info.

Re: Chicago: Trump, AT&T and Two Prudential - all supertalls - dont' count? Please.

My most comprehensive skyline review yet. Seven miles of the skyline in high definition on close zoom, from Downtown to around 100th Street in Manhattan.

It doesn't matter how many high rises are built in Dubai or China, nothing will ever compare to the great New York skyline. It is the world's best, will always be so, and will always be the one to which others are compared.
