Stadiums video

This is not an update. Just wanted to include the pledge you are referring to.
Hope they stick to their pledge. The stadium stuff comes halfway through the video

Construction of modern stadiums will begin next year, Wario assures

Quote:
The Government intends to start the delayed construction of five state-of-the-art stadiums in the country next year.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario confirmed this Thursday while answering questions from journalists at Harambee House during the State of the Nation briefing.

“The initial phase (of improving infrastructure) is ongoing as you can witness with the renovations of the Mombasa, Kisumu and Kipchoge Keino stadiums,” Wario noted.

The Cabinet Secretary added: “The next phase now is to begin the paperwork to construct new facilities, a process that is currently under way. We are happy some counties have already donated land for this purpose.

But this initiative is very expensive and will have to be bankrolled with money from external sources. Constructing five, 50,000-seater stadiums is not a joke.”

This looks like a decent stadium to me. I especially like the idea of using the concrete steps for seats. Those will last a lifetime.

At the very minimum, each rural county should copy and implement the same. We can afford this!!

These stadium threads crash me back to Earth hard, sigh. Considering I check out Algeria, Nigeria and Ethiopia from time to time.
Why can't we have even 15k seaters? I've seen Singapore has a presentable league with 6k seaters or so FFS

A match between AFC Leopards and Gor was played here on Sunday. I am sure there are people with better images

It's a start.

I wonder if they'll install those stadium Tv screens to show people highlight plays...

the match was between Tusker and AFC, not Gor Mahia. Tusker have aadopted Kinoru as their second home. That Brit coach is the most useless coach in AFC history.
