La Defense somehow manages to get a collection of towers that aren't very high, and aren't very good architecturally (apart from the arch, obviously), and it puts them all together, and somehow it looks great.

I don't understand... it's not fair...

8/10 for the skyline. About 15/10 for Paris itself, of course...

It looks nice and neatly designed. I like the skyine, but of course France is a different story.

I give the skyline an 8.

Paris' high rises remind very much of Tokyo's beautifully designe conservatively talls, and to an extent some of Osaka's. One eg. of this is Paris's La Grande Arche:

But hey, how can we go past the historical Eiffel Tower.

We also cant discount the lower rise other historical structures, which also make up Paris' skyline.

Just beautiful.

It is boxy however, but the centerpiece, La Grande Arche gives this skyline it's uniqueness and enhances it a great bit. 8/10.

That pretty much sums it up for me. The buildings are boxy, banal and generally not all that memorable (save for Tour Monteparnasse and La Grande Arche). The clustering of La Defense is great, but that's about it.

7.0/10

It really needs T1 and Granite to improve the skyline, otherwise its good. Shame things seem to have slowed down to snails' pace in recent years - only a matter of time before CW overtakes it.
