High enough to block the view.

To be fair on Sushi Samba (great but bloody expensive) the open areas look out east and west. Only the inside windows by the cocktail bar looks south and would be obstructed by 100BG

Pretty sure that's accurate. 100 Bishopsgate actually got a height increase from 165m to 172m. If you see shorter renders they will be from before the height increase.

100 Bishopsgate was previously designed at 200m+ and 900,000 sq ft (according to their website). This render looks like it's almost as big as The Heron Tower at it's highest point which is about the same as the old design of 100 Bishopsgate, so I would say it's an old render. But even the photos on their own website have got old images of 100 Bishopsgate, so they're probably the only renders which exist.

The Heron Tower website says the Sky Bar is at 175m, so that should be just ok, as 100 Bishopsgate is 172m. If the others are lower, the views will probably be blocked.

And here's a good view of the Heron rooftop bars courtesy of Jason Hawkes.

Ugh terrible building! Makes the weak skyline spire of The Heron Tower appear even more ludicrous

Great smooth lines. A nice all round building.

I love this building too. Clean, looks high quality, even 'Scalpelesque' in the bottom half/third.

The first we should know about construction is when we hear of a confirmed substantial prelet. Until then perhaps they're about to construct a City garden.

There's certainly some materials on site but nothing like the amount I would imagine they would need to imminently start construction. I think they're just using it as a storage site, perhaps for excess materials for their nearby construction sites.

There's been the odd person on site for weeks now but no obvious step up that would again suggest to me anythings starting.

We're there not rumours of a possible pre let for either this site or one further along London wall? Does anyone know what that came to?

You may be referring to London Wall Place, of which one of the buildings has been prelet, so it will now see construction.

The City was abound with rumours this week that Deutsche Bank is considering a monumental move to Brookfield’s entire 900,000 sq ft office scheme, 100 Bishopsgate. However, Deutsche, which declined to comment on market speculation, appears no closer to agreeing terms on the tower than when it first started looking at it more than than a year ago.

Wow, that would be amazing. Are Brookfield over charging on this or something?
