i've been waiting for a final rendering like that for ages, fantastic! It's nice to see where all the buildings will fit in to the overall skyline. From certain angles over ere on the Wirral, there are still huge gaps between some of the tall buildings, so anything in between, say for example the burnt out pub opposite beetham would lend it self to another beetham two! keep me fingers crossed!

Great pics, love they way the cluster is framed by the windows!

After seeing the height of the Unity office tower core, the residential tower should be taller than the RSA meaning that waterfront rendering was scaled down.

How big do you want it? The original is massive, using a very high resolution because it is an image that has been published. But, because I am using imageshack to host it, I have to scale it down so I can upload it.

And will look even better when the likes of these are alongside "The Lanney".

Yes it will, actually the "big one on the right" is only about 85,000 tons and considered to be mid-size in todays ctruise market. The new landing stage will accommodate the largest cruise liners afloat, ships like RCCL's Adventure & Navigator of the Seas and Carnivals Triumph & Destiny etc all ships above 100,000 tons. The length, beam and height of the ship should have little bearing on it's tying up alongside the new stage, drought is the criteria and as, almost, all modern cruise liners draw 8 meters or less there should be no problem with accepting any cruise ship.

Certainly make me wonder. I have been proposing this type of facility since the 'Garden Festival'. I have been in touch with almost every council leader since then. Even David Henshaw seemed quite cool to the idea when I first proposed it saying he "would pass it on to the tourist committee" on council. I also received a TWO word reply to my suggestion from Mike Storey and it said "Good idea". The best response I received from anyone Liverpool (elected) official was from John Hamilton who was very enthousiastic but, he said he doubted whether or not he could get councils backing for something that would involve the M.D.&.H.C..

Great photos! Are there any 500ft+ towers proposed near the beetham tower sites. That would be a fantastic cluster if so. I hope these world heritage tossers dont get there way in Liverpool limiting the construction of scrapers. The potential for a world class skyline is there.

I would be better still if the council weren't so backward thinking.

Just hope English Heritage aren't too much of an influence also.
