In the span of a few hundred kilometers - from Mostar in the south, to Sarajevo in the north - the landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina changes from the dry, stone cliffs of the south to the lush, forested hills of the north.

Enjoy the ride...

the albanian alps continue on the montenegrin border aswell by the name prokletije, in montenegro the valleys become more fertile and less rocky, the montenegrin part is better explored due to being part of a wealthier country. tourist feel safer to visit it.

in this photo looking at albanian peaks.......

albania begins after the first row of peaks, the highest peak in the photo is mount jezerca, located in albania.

the montenegrin part

the eastern part of the albanian alps, the mountains turn softer, the land very fertile and the forest entirely pine. in the photo above is the montenegrin part between albanian and kosovo border. that pine forest conties well into kosovo part.

dont you have pics of Skodar lake area?
ill find some, though in my opinion is no the best albania offers. however the northern part which is montengro is breathtaking. ill be more than happy to post photos of the montenegrin side. :)

Less spectacular but still beautiful, Les Hautes Fagnes in Belgium. It's a broad plateau and exicists out of swamps, big forrests and rugged heather land, situated at the highest point in Belgium. It is one of the most popular sites in Belgium for walking because of the natural richness and beauty. The 'Hautes Fagnes' have preserved some scars from the last ice age. Because of the altitude of this area (round 600m, highest point 694m), the ice melted slower than in other parts of the Low Countries. In the soil of the Hautes Fagnes were enormous lens-shaped ice cones, with the tip of the cone going downwards. When these ice cones had eventually molten, they had created little craters that were gradually filled up with mosses. However, until today one can still clearly see the outlines of these ice-age scars.

Hope you enjoyed Beglium's finest.
