Chinese aerospace company, the China Aerospace Science and Industry Cooperation (CASIC) , announced on Wednesday that it has launched research into floating trains which may one day be able to reach 4,000 kilometers per hour.
The project will try to combine its supersonic flight technology with rail transportation to develop a new generation of trains, thepaper.cn reported, citing comments made by Liu Shiquan, deputy general manager of CASIC, at a summit held in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province on Wednesday.

China has brought revolution in the transportation system as now it is going to be build world super natural train with a speed of 4000 km per hour. If Pakistan adopts this train system then the distance between Lahore to Gwadar will reduce to 30 minutes.

What's the difference between fast/bullet train and hyperloop? Is it just only term to make it sound so cool?

Yes it is train, its https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vactrain (high speed maglev train).

A bullet train travels on the surface exposed to the air, thus air resistance limits the speed. A hyperloop would be a pod or train inside an evacuated tube with low airpressure witch would allow it to travel much faster. So they are two very different things.

According to Mao Kai, China Aerospace Science and Engineering Corporation will follow the three step program to develop high-speed flying trains - -

The first step to complete the key technical breakthrough before 2020; to complete the whole system demonstration before 2023, simultaneous formation of 600 kilometers per hour manned capacity, developed a maximum operating speed of 1000 km of the train, the construction of the regional city flight train transportation network;

The second step, by 2027, has developed a train with a top speed of 2000 kilometers to build a national super city cluster, the flying train traffic network;

The third step, developed a maximum speed of 4000 km of the train, the construction of "The Belt and Road" flying train transportation network.
