oh ok... thanks. I just noted the roof signage.

So the building name is The Quadrant and the company name is Lavant?

or that is just old abandoned like signage?

BHP's South32 signs 10-year tower lease

BHP Billiton's new spinoff company South32 is expected to take up naming rights on one of Perth's largest corporate towers after signing a 10-year lease.

BROOKFIELD Property has confirmed South32 will lease around 8,300 square metres of the 52-storey Bank West building at 108 St Georges Terrace from May when shareholders vote on approving the demerger.
South32 will operate aluminium, nickel, silver and coal assets, with 25,000 employees across southern Africa, Australia, Colombia and Brazil.

How much space will be freed up in the main BHP tower? Will all the contractors finally fit in now?

I thought they relegated all the contractors to the Belmont area. That said, would be nice to see these fellas get their due respect by being housed in the HQ.

They vacated the Belmont office a couple of years ago. That's been refurb'd and someone else has moved in. All the remaining contractors were moved out of Central Park into City Square about 6 to 7 months ago.

All contractors have been moved to Brookfield Place, and last I checked: there are 2 floors completely vacant. The workforce has shrunk to reflect the dive in the Iron Ore price.

Also, some good news for all you signage nerds. The BHP sign is being upgraded to include the BHP Blob logo and some fancy solar powered LED's. The upgrade is scheduled to start in the next few weeks.

So with South32 moving out there will be even more space free? Will they sublet or just sit on it in case the price goes back up?
