Well it is nearing completion and becoming a more known commodity. Many folks may have been reserving opinion until seeing the final product. Many may be reacting to the recent publications and news about it's pending completion. There has been some national news about this building considering it's prominent statistics and impact on the skyline.

This tower will be used rarely by its 88 tenants when they stay there one week a year on vacation. Most are international business moguls.

Do we actually know this, or are we basing this off of the flawed Times editorial?

The majority of the buyers are Americans, and many of them New Yorkers.

It has four elevators on lower levels + 1 service elevator, + other elevators for the lower commercial functions.

It also looks wider than it did on the renders. Not nearly as skinny as I imagined.

Right, which is why I was curious if the previous statement was based on some new info, or just hearsay.

This article is from late '13. But here's a quote,

http://blogs.wsj.com/developments/20...lion-in-sales/

"...While demand for high-end condos throughout Manhattan has been strong from around the globe, Avi Shemesh, a CIM founding principal, says the majority at 432 Park are U.S. buyers."

"International business moguls" might have United States citizenship and residency in NYC, technically making them Americans and New Yorkers, but they're still gaijin. The same applies to American expats in another country where they have citizenship.

I pity Park Avenue and the Midtown skyline that this happened. It shall never repeat.

The same was said about the Pan Am Building. If it ever happens again, strike three.

I don't comment often, actually not since my window project completed but I have to say this. Virtually all negative comments come from those that have not been to New York and seen how beautiful and prominent this is.

Somethings don't photograph well like a Ferrari, a Kapoor sculpture (Cloud Gate), or a beautiful woman. So please reserve your opinion.
