Well Miami did not get SHIT for transportation during the last eight years of Democrat administration but let's bash any initiative by the current one just because makes us feel better...so the Port Tunnel and Brightline are not examples of P3s??? It's time to get creative and find solutions for the gridlock we are facing instead letting the govt do studies of studies of proposals. If PRIVATE industry is only interested in profits, as they should, let's find ways for them to make their profit while shifting the risks and costs to upkeep transportation systems to them. It would be more cost effective for the taxpayers in the long run and it will get projects done in our lifetimes...or let the bureaucrats in Washington tax the shit out of the middle class!!!

No, Metromover is the way to go for downtown, Miami Beach and Midtown. Heavy rail is too loud and stations take up too much space in dense urban areas. Metromover like systems can transport lots of people if you connect several cars together and increase frequency. Look at the MIAmover at the airport, it takes thousands of people daily to and from the terminals and the MIC and fast!! When those cars start moving you better be holding on to something or you arse will hit the ground!!!
