I just saw this one on the net...Mind if I share it here...

Agusan Marsh Identity

Situated in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, the Agusan Marsh is an ecologically significant wetland covering a vast area of lakes, rivers and forests. It is famous for migratory birds, floating houses and adventure trails, but its claim to fame came when the world's largest crocodile (6.17m, 1.075kg)
was captured here in September 2011.

In 2009, the University of the Philippines' Department of Geography was commissioned by the Provincial government of Agusan del Sur to come up with an ecotourism plan for the Agusan Marsh.

After days of intensive fieldwork and months of planning and writing, the Fieldwork Team* came up with a comprehensive report outlining observations and recommendations.

Presented here is the visual identity proposed for the marsh. Marshlands and wetlands are relatively unknown to the general public, so the proposed logo uses rich visual imagery to instill awareness
and give a clear picture of the marshland.

Agusan Del Sur | Chasing Pinagalaan Falls | What to See in Agusan Del Sur

It was not among my plans to visit this water falls located in Bayugan City, Agusan Del Sur. And since I do not have much thing to do that day except to go to San Franz and sleep there for the night, I decided to drop by Bayugan City. After doing the usual city tour, I asked the help of some locals if they know of any waterfalls in the area. There were several suggestions given but I chose Pinagalaan Falls for no reason at all. The name sounded good to me.

So I hired a motor bike and luckily my driver knows where the falls is but has never been in the there. It sounded great to me because I would be exploring the mountains of Bayugan with a local who has never been there. The travel is about 2o minutes on various terrain until we reached the barangay where we need to register and start the hike. It was about 11am when we arrived at the barangay hall and the heat of the sun is high but we have no other option but to proceed.

Half of the trek is easy and the other half a bit steep and dangerous as here were no visible foot trail. We managed to reached by falls by following the roaring sound of water. We got lost twice but managed to get in the falls by 12noon.

The water falls gently on sloppy rock boulders in a dense forest. There were several small cascades and several pool basins. The water is narrow and shallow. We had difficulty transferring from one cascade to another because of the slippery slope. We managed to go until the middle portion only where we had a perfect view of the place.

Afte spending some time, we managed to return without getting lost.
