I believe current tenants will be moving into the Cheesegrater. No renders that I can see MrCladding. Guessing this can't go any taller as it's behind the Tower?

Plan submitted for ‘Butterfly’ London office scheme

Plans have been submitted for the City of London’s next big office scheme called The Butterfly.

Architect SPPARC has drawn up the plan to build a 420,000 sq ft office and retail scheme at 1 Portsoken Street, just north of the Tower of London.

The plan would see the existing 1980s office building known as Lloyds Chambers demolished to make way for a new landmark 12-storey scheme with three basement levels.

Its rectangular floor plan would be softened with curved facades leading to it being named The Butterfly.

The plan has been submitted on behalf of Portsoken Investment, a joint venture between a group of private investors, by consultant DP9.

Good design, nice to see this part of London, start to be smartened up, its close to one of London's top tourist attractions and the area around it, is nasty, very embarrassing if your a Londoner......

Worked a nine month contract in Lloyds Chambers when it must of been only a couple of years old if that. Blimey how long ago was that?

Fantastic views of the City at night when we were bored on a nightshift and snuck up to the roof. Pre 1 Canada Square and only the Nat West Tower resembling anything like a skyscraper, I should imagine the view would be spectacular now at night from that roof.

Used to have great fun at 3 in the morning. We had planted a cb radio in one of the huge plant pots in the foyer and from our vantage point on the 4th floor looking down into the atrium, we would scare the poor old sod of a security guard Cecil shitless making strange noises and gasped ghostly calls of "Ce..cil, Ce,...cil... Had him going for weeks. We fed him all sorts of stories about headless ghosts wandering up from Tower Hill.
