Realistically, in terms of height, number of buildings, overall coolness, etc. I would order the top 20 like this: (just my opinion of course )

1. Seattle
2. San Francisco
3. Los Angeles
4. Las Vegas
5. Denver
6. San Diego
7. Honolulu
8. Oakland
9 Phoenix
10. Portland
**11. Bellevue
12. Salt Lake City
13. Sacramento
*14. Albuquerque
15. San Jose
16. Anchorage
**17. Tucson
**18. Boise
**19. El Paso
20. Tacoma

* not included in this poll (?) Albuquerque has a taller building than San Jose, Tacoma, Tucson, Fresno, El Paso, Boise, and Anchorage.

** not included in this poll (?)

Of course there is some other cities that could be considered as well: Emeryville, Ca., Long Beach, Ca., Santa Monica, Ca., and maybe some others...

Bellevue will be making this list in the coming years...they will raise the height limit and that skyline will be up in the top 5 soon.

Bellevues skyline already has more buildings over 400' than portland does, but it doesn't have the midrise density that portland does. I still think Bellevue looks cooler than portland does when approaching the city.

In no particular order: Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, & San Diego are the best of the west. I still largely prefer East coast skylines though.
