Amazing! (Even though it looks like 1 Bloor.) The park is the biggest prize here.

It sort of looks like the Massey Tower to me. Could be decent.

Yes, looks like an exact copy. But at least they copied a beautiful building - and it isn't blue!

No matter how nice the park it will be ruined by Dogs within a few years.

Hopefully the city bans dogs from the park, or else it will be unusable by all.

Nonsense. It's about being civilized and respectful, if people don't scoop their pet's poop, you can't blame the dogs banning them from the parks.

You get that humans take dogs to parks?

When dog owners "scoop poop" are they really cleaning up all the poop?

I don't get what dog owners think they have the right to treat this city like their own personal litter box.

Find me a park in Toronto that hasn't been ruined by dog piss & sh-t

Like I've said, it's about being respectful and civilized. There're are people who really scoop their dog's poop, you want to ban them because there are uncivilized people in this city? Good luck with the world, then.
I guess you would ban Timmy's because people throw away their coffee cups.

Maybe we should find another way rather than ban people and dogs from parks.

There is nothing narrower than a closed mind.

I don't think our parks have been ruined by dogs, but I also think a huge number of dog owners are surprisingly irresponsible and take liberties they shouldn't. We have dog leash laws for a reason, but I see dogs off leash almost every day.

The owners always argue that their dog is harmless. That's not up to them to decide and they're breaking the law. I like dogs, but do they not realize that others don't? They just don't get it and are ruining things for responsible dog owners. Keep your dogs on leash at all times and pick up after your dog.

I think dogs hugely enhance our families, our society and our city. I think most dog owners in Toronto are respectful and clean up after their animals; much, much moreso than many cities I have visited in my lifetime. I don't mind off-leash dogs if they are well trained, and most are or they would be run over by cars. Reykjavík tried very hard to ban dogs, but in the end it has proven nearly impossible to do so.. there is a reason why they have the reputation of being man's best friend, I think!

It all boils down to irresponsible people.

Dog owners who don't pick up their dog's poop can be compared to those people who leave their empty coffee cups on department store shelving instead of throwing them in the garbage. Some individuals are responsible, while others are not.

That's not the point. We have leash laws because some people are terrified of dogs. We allow dogs into our cities along side humans in exchange for keeping them on leash at all times NO EXCEPTIONS! That's the trade off.

If dog owners continue to ignore their end of the deal we won't have dogs in our cities AT ALL! Do they not get that? Whether you or I mind them off leash is irrelevant.
