Manastiri i crkve u Srbiji

Works on it started 1935 on the place where old chapel were, on saint water source. It was finished on the day of Saint Petka Paraskeva October the 27, 1937. Project was made by Momir Korunović. Interesting thing is that they found bones of Serb soldiers who died there while defending Belgrade 1914. Their bones are not in Jakšićeva kula, Kalemegdan.

This is church where I was baptised, by the way

Location: Kalemegdan fortress | Beograd | Serbia | Serbia and Montenegro

I agree, it's full of energy, especially for me. Every time I go to Belgrade, I go there, and after that I have enough energy until next time

Saray thanks for posting these beautiful photos!
The small stone built church is very nice and fits with the peacefull and green suroundings...
By the way what kind of castle is that behind? Is it far from the city of Belgrade?

Well that doesn't make me feel inadeqaute. NO. Not at all. I'd just like to apologise to the forum that I didn't visit every single monastery in Serbia (228 of them) to take a hundred high res photos of each

Just a few things. Ostrog(CG) is off topic and Oplenac isn't a monastery, it's a church/mausoleum of the Karadjordjeviches. The interior may look like it's decorated in frescoes, but those are mosaics and the inside is BIG. IT's very impressive GREAT pics btw

^ Ostrog is not really off-topic. You're not rid of them yet. And a church is a monastery as far as a Bosniak who knows little about either is concerned.

EDIT: And you're welcome. Xx

Are daring to suggest that CG is a mere province of Serbia?

^ Province? Ba...Montenegro is more like Kosovo on Orthodox Christianity and steroids.

EDIT: And both should be used only under careful supervision. They're very dangerous when misused.
