They're still saying it: "Grand Central Station-type of lobby."

we'll see. space is tight and they don't gain a whole lot by doing anything other than providing a canopy over the platform.

Not the most attractive building however.

SO I went down today around 12:40 ish PM drop someone off. Interesting stuff.

There was a medium green fence around the property or a portion of it and a bunch of guys walking around doing what construction dudes do. I pick up my lady from the Wells Fargo building around 1:30 ish pm and no fence was there but there were still just a bunch of dudes doing construction stuff. (You know walking around point in this direction and that).

Also, there were no vehicles parked. Only a few delivery trucks near the dumpsters. I know the occasional gameday has been this way for a while but this was a normal weekday in the middle of the business district.

May have faith in the Lincoln group after all.

I'm thinking because Tower 1 will go up first, and, will open up late 2019 early 2020. Then the Sunrail platform with Tower 2 will begin construction and take about two plus more years, finishing around 2022-23.

Makes sense.

Im Skeptical about this project. Until I see dirt move it isn't happening.

LOL. Me too. But all these updates regarding making a deal with Sunrail; the advent of a second residential tower; it seems like it's moving along for real. I need to see dirt move as well.

If they were to achieve anything close to a grand central style lobby, they would need not just the base of the tower, but the ballroom and the Church Street access.

Considering they now own the whole block it's conceivable that they are planning direct access to the train lobby through the historic Church Street buildings.

Heck, they could even open up the Cheyenne Salon and create a great space to service passengers and something that enhances what is already there.
