I wouldn't really classify Trump as a war hawk. He's actually against Nation building and intervention unlike his challenger. The whole N. Korea thing isn't his fault and he's on record 20 years ago talking about "screw continuing to kick the can down the road" "it needs to be dealt w/ now before it gets almost impossible to deal with. And low and behold fast forward 20 years, the problem stupid ass politicians created/allowed falls into his lap. And if by chance we can solve this problem. Hey looky there,,,, now Iran will just take their place because of yet another stupid deal. And more can kicking. Politicians do nothing but destroy everything they touch. And do nothing but create problems that they push (kick) down the road for someone else to solve. ie entitlements , the debt, nuclear proliferation etc.... no matter the issue they never solve it. Just push it onto others and claim victory. So trust me,,,,,Trumps not the problem. Politicians couldn't run a lemonade stand. Ok rant done.

Wow, and I thought I was slightly off-topic with my Atlanta post.
Anyway, kudos to Charlotte, keep up the high-quality development.

There's NO excuse for his lack of foreign policy knowledge, his disinterest in learning it, his inability to seek and take policy advice from experts or his irrational need to take the bait and puke everything on Twitter, let alone make irresponsible, in-Presidential statements like he did the other day. None.

Now back on topic...

charlotteagenda Here is a look at the 200,000-square-foot annex expansion to the Jonas Courthouse in Uptown. It will go on the existing parking lot and materials will be top notch. (Renderings: Jenkins Peer Architects)

I'm okay with historic style but wish the pedestrian level was better designed.

At the rate the city is growing how much longer do you think before Charlotte's population hits that 1 million mark?

Cleveland's Federal Courthouse might end up being the standard for that type of facility....it's unbelievably attractive, graceful and interesting. Almost certainly one of Cleveland's finest buildings.

I doubt if a federal courthouse that distinctive and fabulous will be built in the States for quite some time. even though I think Charlotte's new one is awesome.

Charlotte Meklenburg County has already passed 1 M. If I had to guess, Charlotte City Limits will get near or over 1 M around 2020.

Not worried about North Korea. Jim Rogers says that the worst economic crash in our lifetime will begin this or next year.

Well then that would effect Charlotte am I right? Or the Economy is so strong here that it will have minor effects. After this future Economic Crash I think Charlotte would be one of the few cities who survive it, It would mean a unusually large amount of people would move here after it because there local economies have crashed and are majorly impacted.

I hope the guy is a doomsayer. I mean, people have been predicting a downturn for two years. But if something of that magnitude were to occur, I don't think that Charlotte would be immune.
