Nashville Aerial Photos

Took them yesterday (5-6-15). This doesn't even begin to touch the amount of developments happening in the city right now. It's unreal what's happening here. There are tower cranes everywhere it seems...enjoy!!

Awesome!

Nashville always reminds of a Midwestern city for some reason.

^ I could not agree more. It's exciting knowing that a lot of those empty lots will be filled in just a few years with everything in the pipeline. Great work, Lexy!

The old Union Station, in the left of the picture below and now a hotel, is built in the fashion of many a midwestern civic buildings, as are some of the churches around Nashville. I get the feeling they had a quarry nearby with some stones comparable to their northern neighbors.

Amazing photos! Nashville has an impressive dense skyline now, and only going to fill in much more in 3-5 years! Excited to see how it looks then!

I would love to see these same aerials again now more than a year later. Many of the projects that were in their early stages then have now topped out and other new ones have started.

Nice photos! I can't figure out why Nashville would remind someone of a midwestern city...it looks exactly like a southern city to me.

Incredible that these are only a year and a half old and the urban landscape is already vastly different than it was even then.

Nice photos. Nice town.
I don't understand why anyone would think "Nashville looks like a midwestern city."

Midwest cities have more history and building density because of their steel-belt, industrial and transportation economies. Most midwestern cities have large, dense warehouse districts with 4-10 story monolithic brick warehouses and historical skyscrapers.

Curious, which midwestern city(s) does Nashville even remotely remind you of?
