It was actually 100 Bishopgate that I was referring to, I make a habit out of getting my Bishops and my Broads mixed up when discussing proposals on here

I think the Jason Hawkes aerial photos just go to show how amazing 20 FS looks. It stands out like a beacon. The reflections, the finish - it really is high quality.

I've liked this proposal from the beginning and sure it really has been a love or hate situation with regards to people posting on here, but it looks like a lot of people have warmed to it now they can see it has been built to the highest standards

How are they going to clean the windows on the bit that leans out the most? A cradle would get further away the lower it got.

Presumably not much loved but I think Portland House looks all right in that aerial.

An actual good article from the mail! Those are some of the best shots I've seen; though the over use of the silly nick names does annoy me.

Tit-bit of info in the Times today. A '7% rise in the take-up of city office space in the first 2 months of the year'. With 20 Fenchurch now 53% let, and other potential tenants being lined up. It goes on to say that space under offer was up 40%, and space availability was 2% down........Surely a positive sign for future projects, especially the likes of 100 Bishopsgate.

Infuriating to watch this shoot up so quick then stop just before the top for the garden. I suppose its because they have to fill in the garden before it tops out? (they can't take trees up in lifts? etc)

Anyone have a guesstimate as to when we'll see the garden starting if so?

I am very pleased 122 Leadenhall will overtake the Heron Tower as tallest in the city because I don't want such a mediocre structure to have such a title.

122 Leadenhall will not unequivocally overtake the Heron Tower as tallest in the city, thanks to the convention that the 'architectural' spire of the latter should be included in the height of the building.

Mediocre? In what way? 35 floors in a small footprint, no concrete core, different architectural highlights from NESW, fantastic at night etc etc

Where will the remaining roof steels spring from?

Trying to work out on this photo how the roof will begin to form

Looks to me like the structure of the 2-storey slope (painted white) is inset from the main structure (painted light grey). I think the canopy steel is going to follow on from the existing facade steel.

According to that video they've already had the topping out ceremony. Seems a bit odd, the roof must be considered an architectural feature and thus part of the total height. Guess they must just mean that nothing structurally integral is left to go up

Well, let's just say the Heron Tower isn't exactly in many people's favorite skyscraper list. Some I don't think would even rank it in the top ten for London. In comparison to the other proposed and approved projects for London it is "mediocre", you cannot compare the tower to the pinnacle, 1 Blackfriars or 122 Leadenhall.

If only 20 FS were 'mediocre'.
