Brampton: New Performing Arts Centre
I didn't know about this (and wasn't sure if it was posted) and I just happened to stumble across this, but I guess, Brampton (a Toronto suburb) is building a new performing arts centre. By the information I have read, I believe it is in downtown (if Brampton even has a downtown at all) in a place going to be called MARKET SQUARE. Even though Brampton has little to no nightlife, maybe this will help just slightly.
It is expected to generate $2.7 million in economic activity for Brampton the first year and grow to $19.8 million by the fifth year. It will attract more than 55,000 visitors annually who will spend about $275,000 on before and after-show entertainment and will create close to 300 permanent jobs in Brampton. It will have a capacity of 850-1,000 seats with a multi purpose, two atrium lobby, full handicapped accessibility, along with modern sound and lighting equipment, and an orchestra pit/warmup facility.
Here are the renderings:

It should be completed sometime this year, I think.

Ew, it's in Brampton.

Special thanks to Ttownfeen for giving me the author of the quote above
