Secondly, I have another hunch:
ADB Avenue sidewalk might be widened.

The sidewalk in southern corner (El Pueblo) is now wider.
It would make no sense to leave that section wider than the rest of the sidewalk...
so let's wait for a few months.

Just for demonstration:

Photo Source: El Pueblo in ADB Avenue corner Julia Vargas Avenue.

This corner road in El Pueblo, Julia Vargas
is now a "pocket park".

Meanwhile, the sidewalk of El Pueblo in ADB Ave side
had been widened already
(by about 1 meter, just my estimate).

Widening the sidewalk along ADB Avenue makes sense
because it leads to Robinsons Galleria.
They really should prioritize improving the sidewalks along ADB/San Miguel Avenue because that's where most of the Ortigas hotels are.

Pictures taken June 15, 2017

These shots are already Mandaluyong side, proof that Pasig is pushing thru with the project. Although 5 days later, today, there were no movements on the same spot. Perhaps there were still issues to iron out with Mandaluyong city govt.

=========
=========
Either San Miguel side, or Podium Mall side.

According to the speaker:
(1) The SM group is OK with the walkway because it is good for their business.
(2) The San Miguel is also OK, "I think" (sic).

The speaker ended by saying:
As of now, the ball is with Mandaluyong Mayor Abalos.

It is good to know that this project is moving.. Just a question. I think Robinsons Galleria and Poveda are still under Quezon City..

Mukhang ok naman ang QC with the project kasi mabilis naman na-umpisahan (ang TAGAAAL nga lang matapos) yung walkway across ADB Avenue in front of Robinsons Galleria (which is QC na nga as you pointed out). QC also put up their own overpass crossing Ortigas from Galleria to Eton, but it's not as nice as the Pasig City ones.

MMDA-level... And would've been nicer kung diniretso na sa Veranda level ng Galleria for accessibility (since magkapantay naman na sila).

Passed by EDSA SB infront of ADB. There are a couple of trees that may be cut down if ever this will push through.

I can foresee the delay in that area already.

Sana naman data-driven ang decision, meaning based on pedestrian traffic and accessibility to public transportation, hindi lang toss coin o palakasan ng lobbying. We have professional institutions who can make recommendations, e.g. MMDA Institute of Traffic Management and UP National Center for Transportation Studies. Not sure if we have studies relating to pedestrian behavior and traffic in Ortigas, though.

Here is a complete map of Ortigas.
Once completed, the walkway will run from
the East-end to West-end of Ortigas.

Source

Once completed, they should also build an intersecting North-South walkway along San Miguel to ADB Avenue.

Imagine, walking around Ortigas,
from East to West (under construction),
from North to South (wishing),
without ever negotiating your way with cars.

Installed and undergoing testing na yung lights sa overpasses sa Garnet-ADB Ave/Galleria and Ortigas/Meralco! Does this mean malapit na talaga ang opening? Tuloy-tuloy trabaho nila dun kahit gabi.

Sobrang tagal na nyang Galleria Overpass...
... napagod na ako sa kakahintay.

After lights installation,

I'll take an actual photo later, punta ako ng Galleria maya.

May live electric wires dun sa stairs (Galleria side) so you cannot pass through it without getting electrocuted.

Pero looks like this:

sa photo above, yung wires are behind the railings. Sa Galleria footbridge, nasa floor (red lines). Yung poste, nasa paanan ng staircase.

Just for comparison : Ayala Walkway.

I've traversed that walkway from end-to-end.

It covers the entire Dela Rosa St (parallel to Ayala Ave).
From Salcedo St (Makati Med - GT Tower) to Greenbelt Mall.

Pang-marathon ang walkway nila.
Magsasawa ka maglakad.

But wait, there's more!!!

Having exhausted Dela Rosa St,
they are now extending it through Salcedo St (in map, it's labeled HV dela Costa),
so that Ayala Ave itself would be connected to the walkway.

.

Update: Photo just a while ago. May mga wires pa rin that pass through the footbridge.
