Boland's Quay is what I read. (I know that's not this thread but I was responding to the flow...)

I don't want a redesign, it's a nice design. Why can't they just add two or three floors to each building? Heaven help they then break the invisible line from millennium tower to Google Docks which is what was stipulated in the stupid SDZ

It's an amendment of the residential block only.

Quote:
The proposed development seeks amendments to previously permitted Residential Building 3 permitted under DSDZ3796/14. The development consists of: Internal amendments and modifications to the permitted Residential Building 3 to provide for 5 no. additional apartment units increasing the overall no. of units from 31 units to 36 units comprising 35 no. of 2 bed units and 1 no. of 3 bed unit. The previously permitted scheme accommodated 30 no. 2 bed units and 1 no. 3 bed unit. The overall gfa of the building increases from 4,507 sq.m. to 4,849 sq.m. The additional units are facilitated by the creation of an additional floor at 15th floor through the reduction in the permitted ceiling heights by 90mm from 3100mm to 3010mm. The development proposes the omission of the semi enclosed roof terrace provided at 14th floor and the shared deck/terrace at 13th floor to facilitate the additional penthouse apartment over 14th and 15th floor and the additional apartment unit at 13th floor.

Of course there is.

For starters, the current height is the maximum height allowed in the SDZ. There's DCC, ABP, An Taisce, people who think they know about 1916, residents. The list goes on. There are several things preventing them from from making it 88m.

That would be great, the initial design was much nicer!

I did as the EXO thread was becoming rather messy with talk of Bolands. I wasn't sure what you were referring to and assumed Bolands.

No wonder you are confused with stuff like this...

One can only assume that's a reference to Boland's ...but who knows?

Progress on site is slow as sh*t. I walk past most days, theres only a handful of people working. Do they not have deadlines or penalties to work against?

They probably have to wait to receive planning for the minor amendments to the residential part. But an absolute joke that 2 years later and main construction beyond digging out the foundation has yet to start.

From GCD station. You can see the roof is now off the old Boland's Mill building. Ground works for new office blocks ongoing.

It's only a couple of months behind schedule though. The original schedule was very long. We knew that from the beginning.

Have you actually read it ??

Broad Sustainable Building spent four and a half months fabricating the building’s 2,736 modules before construction began. The first 20 floors were completed last year, and the remaining 37 were built from 31 January to 17 February this year, Xiao said.
