Seems like a lot of land to use up for what's being built. Maybe they'll come to their senses and swap out the retail-only component for office with a lesser amount of ground floor retail.

Btw, over in Metwest I think they would be wise to look at putting an apartment building on the parcel (and parking lot) designated for more retail.

It's in their "development opportunities" section of their site (along with a hotel, tons of retail and another office building.

^Whose? Metwest's?

Edit, yeah I just looked... The same retail as always is in their plans to fill in the 2 parcels behind Kona Grill... I'm suggesting they scrap that as being retail-only with a surface lot, and look into making it apartments.

Yeah increasing apartments from 200 or so to 500 or so and make it more urban-ish would make a huge difference for that area. But the streets and walkability is still a mess

Does anyone have any idea what the crane at International Plaza is for? It's located on the southern side of the mall near Dillards.

New rendering of Varela on Lois. Not sure when they are supposed to start this however, as December 2012 has come and gone.
