Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo has become mostly a commercial street but at one time it was on par with some of Buffalo's many other mansion streets such as Richmond and Linwood. Uses of these buildings are all over the board. Some are elegant offices, some nice apartments, some flop houses.

Very good pictures of Buffalo's best neighborhood commercial corrider! Hopefully, more of Buffalo's commercial corriders will be revitalized to look more like Elmwood, or at the least, Hertel.
Its considered the Elmwood Village (which I'm sure was made up as a branding attempt not that far back). Closer to downtown though I believe it would be considered Allentown.
