Construction started on the NE corner of Azeele and (just a little east) Macdill. 3 story Apartments I believe. Very small lot. On North side of Azeele.

Marathon at the corner of Henderson & Dale Mabry is being torn down. TD Bank appears to be going in its place.

Kinda sad, was a good location for a gas station and close to my house.

Oh shit. Not another friggin bank branch. They tend to be awful designs (have you seen the worst one at MacDill and Azeele, I think its a north star - piece of crap) and for sure are dead zones after 4 pm. Henderson and Dale Mabry is such a key intersection.

This morning going down Dale Mabry, I noticed the lot between the storage place the Fair Oaks condo's has been cleared of trees. Is that hotel going forward after all?

LOL..to add onto my own question...the sign up at the construction site says Aidan Park Site Prep. I've looked them up but they are not currently listing the S Dale Mabry lot between Fair Oaks condos and the storage place as an active project. However they are moving dirt and have bulldozers on the site.

Anyone know if this is the once proposed hotel? Thanks.

Not sure. I haven't seen anything by there. But then again, it's been two weeks since I've paid any attention to that lot, so I'll have to see the next time I'm in South Tampa.

I agree. Some of these bank buildings are horrible designs.

TD must have outgrown its current location in the shopping plaza on Dale Mabry/Neptune.

Yeah, the hotel was approved back in April. 4 floors, 84 rooms.

There's a proposal on the portal for 3 story medial office building at 110 South MacDill. Currently a 1 story medical office building is on the site.

^The developer amended the project so that it didn't need a hearing for variances and therefore neighborhood opposition was irrelevant.

Was the height reduced? I thought originally it came out as 5 or 6 stories. Now it's 4.

Buffalo Wild Wings is now under construction across from Britton Plaza (the old Estella's location), just north of the new shopping center with Crunch Fitness and Tijuana Flats and just south of the Chase bank.

Another eatery that South Tampa needs. I've had dinner with my family at the location on Park Blvd near Shoppes at Park Place, pretty good food.

Strip center across from the Neptune Publix is being torn down to make way for a drive thru Starbucks. While I like the street getting refreshed with new businesses, I was hoping for higher level development. A mixed-use midrise on that site with residential would be great. South Dale Mabry is awash in bank branches with drive thru's as it is. The gas station at Henderson and DM was torn down to put up a TD branch bank w/ drive thru. That triangular lot would've made a great site for a cool angle shaped midrise to anchor that major intersection. But instead another bank to go across from the other new bank, the Bank United. I've nothing against them as a business, but they're usually such quirky designs that look faddish and all that deadening parking that's lifeless after hours.
