Yeah I saw that too. Kind of interesting and a random coincidence that two companies, both involved in transportation and logistics, have been considering downtown Tampa (specifically channel side) as a home to their new headquarters and moving from the suburbs.

Being close to the port might play into it as well.

I hope this is the beginning of a trend and more and more small and mid sized companies move downtown.

Some retail news for Channelside:

-Great Expressions (dentist office) is rumored to be taking the last space of retail at Skyhouse. Bummer it isn't a restaurant or retail, but glad to see the space not take too long to fill up as other developments in the district have.

- Also rumored is that Crunch Fitness will be taking up the space vacated by Powerhouse Gym. Great news for the area since I know many were bummed to lose out on a large gym and not their residential clubhouse gyms. I was kind of surprised to hear Crunch Fitness was the potential tenant, considering that LA Fitness just announced closing their gym in Hyde Park and was expecting the reasoning to be because of them opening up in the former Powerhouse spot.
