About what I expected. Looks like 22 floors. Wish they could have gone to 25-30.

I think it looks decent and most of the views should be nice from the upper floors.

Wish Related would take more interest in Tampa (VERTICALLY).

Jason can probably determine if it's VE or not.

I'm just not a big fan of those "window washer" balconies hanging off the building, just like on Skypoint and Element. Recessed or semi-recessed balconies are much more comfortable.

^Yeah, but they're cheap (compared to other options for building highrise balconies) and are literally bolted onto the building in minutes.

I really like that the visual look of the building is pretty much unique for highrises around here.

The height is probably about as far as they can go thanks to POK.

Where did you find this? I looked on Related's site and didn't see it there.

I love it.. hope it gets built and soon..

I think the walkway will look nice from a pedestrians point of view, it looks like it has some flair to it

I forgot to add... My real pet peeve is for the ones that are only there so that they also appear on the renderings ahead of time, and make the building look much classier and more expensive than it really will be.

Like the ones affixed to the side of Parkcrest, for example. What the hell is the point of this?

(I know that these are called 'Juliette' style, and were historically used in French architecture as a place for potted plants, but that's not what they're being used for by builders today)

At least this proposed tower looks like it has the kind that are on Post Harbour Island... A prefabbed, cantilevered steel unit that bolts onto anchors set in the concrete. They tend to be like 3' deep, and have some usability.

edit...Oh, and I'm a little surprised that the building won't have of its own integrated parking (or will it?) I wonder if they're adding a couple of levels to the garage across the street, or if they feel they have plenty of excess capacity? Anyone seen anything about that?

Interesting... This tower is proposed at 238'. (Per the site plan)

A little tiny bit taller than I expected.

Fresh in my mind after arriving home late last night from our stay in mid-town. This is very much in tune with the area around Central Park.

This will be a great addition to DT / Harbour Island.

And the HCAA has stuff. That's how I heard about the height... They had to get a variance for the building and of course the crane.

Any project development information?

Would be nice to see something happen this year.

What about the other vacant lot on the east end of Knights Run?

I saw a crew drilling on the site today. Could this be a start?

Probably test bores for the geotechnical report.

Here's to hoping they get it right the first time.

An elevation of the Related tower for Harbour Island that I stumbled across today.

"The Manor at Harbour Island"

This shows it as 21 floors, 210ft. But they got approval more recently from HCAA for 238ft, so maybe they decided to add 2-3 floors? Or maybe there will be some kind of antenna? IDK.

With harbor island, Davis island, crescent Bayshore, UT campus, Channelside, the heights and encore all now having mid rises, downtown is starting to fan out and look more like what a downtown should IMO. I like the stair step look of a city as the skyline tapers down in all directions.

It wiil look a lot better than what's there now. I think there is some trees on the site that may need to be removed but they can plant new ones after it's built.
