All the units do have balconies. You can't tell from the rendering, but they are there if you check out the floor plans:

Still hoping it looks better than the rendering.

With that out of the way, yay to another building filling in vacant land, which basically adds nothing to the tax base.

Today - stakes in the ground, payloader moved but no workers present. Could be the "ploy" continued. LOL

I changed this project's status to "site work." I haven't seen any pictures or articles on the project so I'm just going off what I've heard from people.

I'm concerned that it's just clearing and grading of the site going on right now. That's the only permit I see issued, but granted, I don't look at the permit side of Accela much, I could be wrong.

Activity today. Two trucks, two payloaders, two workers & portopody. They took down a big tree. I didn't walk out on the property to talk to the workers for updates.

Drove by again a couple days ago. Two cranes, some augers but no workers present. Could have been lunch time. Banner also names the interior design co. I guess they will be decorating the lobby, model unit? penthouse? Not sure how all that works.

Definitely sounds like a prelude to actual construction. Not just pushing dirt around for fun.

Today......

Five concrete cylinders in ground. I sat in my car and watched the operator remove one. Entrance at Bay to Bay open. I would have stayed longer to see what they were doing next but had to go.

Thanks FF. It was cool to see the liquid concrete dropping into the cylinders. I think the women's club next door needs to go next. They could build another high rise condo there.

Are we sure this only site work and not the beginning of construction? It has gotten more and active over the last few weeks and there were several cement trucks out there today.

Site work is a direct precursor to construction. If someone can grab a pic showing that it is indeed under construction I won't hesitate to change the thread title.

Stakes in the ground isn't construction though.

Awesome! Wasn't sure about this one. Neat to see an all glass tower on Bayshore
