Torre Colpatria l BOGOTA l 192m l 50fl

Torre Colpatria
Bogota, Colombia

HEIGHT: 192m
FLOORS: 50 floors
COMPLETION: ?
ARCHITECT: ?

This is torre Colpatria.
At 192metres and 50stories is Colombia's and Bogota's tallest building.
It has a slim and boxy disign a true 70's vintage building.
It's original proyect planned a twin tower design like in NYC's former WTC but connected at the 20th floor with a bridge, like in the petronas. But the owner of the land in wich the second tower would have been built sold the land to an adult cinema "company".

Observation deck plan:

Not too bad. The emphasis was clearly on the vertical, and it shows...Kudos for pushing buildings to greater hieghts in SA.

Very boring. The only positive I can give this building is it's bright lights at night. The shape and facade need work.

I'm liking that vertical emphasis it was designed with, but it's still a box (they need a smiley in the shape of a box... or one making the shape of a square with its fingers). ->7.5/10
