Have they commenced any ROB works at Malakpet yet?

ROB works usually take about 4 - 6 months from the date of commencement due to restricted hours of work schedules!

Stage 3:

Foundations completed!

Piers yet to complete: 305 - 302 = 3 !!! Guessing these are near Iskcon.

Spans yet to complete: 305 - 1 - 285 = 19. Iskcon, Alugaddabavi and Oliphanta

Spans distance yet to complete = 8.16 km - 7.66 km = 0.5 km or that's like 6% of the job left to complete.

Stage 4:

Foundations yet to complete: 432 - 382 = 50 !! (Only 3 more done compared to last time)

Piers yet to complete: 432 - 367 = 65 !!! (7 piers done compared to last time)

Spans yet to complete: 432 - 1 - 190 = 241. Lot of work to be done !

Spans distance yet to complete = 10 km - 6.46 km = 3.54 km or that's like 35% of the job left to complete. (4% job completed compared to last time)

also, platform for stage-5 will be at G+3 level at Ameerpet (looks like they just completed the slab for G+2 level as of now)
could take 2-4 months or even more before they could even start works on laying of tracks, roof structure and OHE wiring ...

Movie shoot
Quote:
The Metro Rail project is one of the biggest under construction projects in Hyderabad, currently. Akhil Akkineni’s second movie being directed by Vikram Kumar of ‘Manam’ and ‘Ishq’ fame will be the first movie to get permission to shoot at the under construction site. A few action sequences were canned under the supervision of Hollywood stunt coordinator Bob Brown at one of the Metro Rail construction sites. Shooting action sequences under blazing sun might have been quite a task for the team. This film is produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni. He has been very careful not to make haste before beginning Akhil’s second movie. We still don’t know who the leading lady of the film would be. According to the buzz, the makers didn’t finalise anyone till date.

HMR to take ₹236.5 crore loan from Andhra Bank

Government agrees to terms of the bank, to give counter guarantee

Stalled property acquisitions at Sultan Bazar and at a few other sections, shifting of pipelines and road-widening for the Metro Rail project will be now taken up with the Government permitting the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Limited to take a term loan of ₹ 236.50 crore from Andhra Bank.

The Government has not only given a counter guarantee to the loan agreeing to the terms and conditions of the bank, but has also agreed to provide a budgetary support of ₹ 59.14 crore for margin money. It had also exempt the HMR from having to pay 2 % guarantee commission payable to it.

In case the HMR fails to make any payments due to the bank, the Government has also agreed to make the loan repayments. The loan is for 10 years with an additional three years’ moratorium and the Government has advised the HMR to go for outside funds since it was facing a budgetary crunch.

The HMR, the special purpose vehicle of the Government, was formed as a facilitating body to help discharge the Concession Agreement (CA) obligations on behalf of the Government to provide right of way to the L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRH) building the project after it bagged the contract.

Initially, the HMR touched base with funding agency HUDCO but after holding detailed discussions, the Government suggested that loan be taken from Andhra Bank.

With the project reaching the advanced stage and with at least two sections of the three-corridor project to be opened later this year — Nagole to Begumpet on Corridor Three and Miyapur to S.R. Nagar on Corridor One, most of the land acquisition and road widening across the project routes has been completed, hence reduced funds, claim senior metro officials.

Reduced allocation

From ₹ 500 crore a year in recent past for shifting of utilities, road-widening and to take over properties, the funds allotted to the HMR came down to ₹ 100 crore last year forcing it to seek the Government’s help to look for other funding options.

“This loan is only to supplant whatever the Government is giving to provide right of way in a few remaining sites so that we can expedite the work in this season,” explained HMR Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy.

Assuming Nagole to Begumpet is done by December, will the govt argue again that Begumpet is a no man's landing terminal, and that it cannot take passengers from Begumpet station (metro) as there is no connectivity similar to Mettuguda ?

Time flies so quickly 5 years as suggested by other users when L&T first began their journey.
I generally feel that compared to what other cities have done in terms of construction L&T have been far faster compared to others.
Just look other metro's from their first foundations to operation. Bangalore not even close, Delhi was also slow take the first timelines.
For all the slack L&T gets, i feel they have done one hell of job in terms of construction and managing the court cases.

Encroachments near Miyapur metro station to be cleared shortly
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Managing Director N.V.S Reddy said all the encroachments near HMR station in Miyapur will be cleared shortly and state-of-the-art footpaths, street furniture, bus bays, auto bays, etc will be set up in the area.

Inspecting the ongoing streetscaping works in and around Miyapur Metro station on Saturday, Mr. Reddy said world class facilities will be provided at the stations.

He said large areas of public utility space are to be created in the two-km stretch between Miyapur and Hydernagar as the new “Raahgiri” venue. There will be children’s play area, yoga and exercise zone, forgotten village games zone, etc., for all the age groups to exercise, relax and enjoy.

Special facilities will be created for children and general public to participate in street art, graffiti, etc, said Mr. Reddy.

This apart, ornamental and avenue plants will be planted to improve the overall aesthetics of the area. The new storm water drain being laid by HMR in Miyapur station will be connected with proper cross drains to ensure there is no water stagnation in the station area, he added.
