This is what is seemed bahrain iceberg. initially was proposed in muharraq coast facing Manama, but they changed it to Zallaq I guess..i am not sure exactly but it is very big project that will staff 3000 people
i heard things about this project too....but the version i know involves certain "disagreements" with the investors and a certain political figure...anyway i best not discuss such things here as they may only be rumors.

Oh and ya about the location, they want to make that part of Bahrain the sports hub of some sort (this if it ever happens, BIC, the horse racetrack (will go for a major $1.7 billion development ($500 million for the horsetrack itself (with betting I read)), the gold course with a proposed expansion). The only thing missing is a huge sports city with a new football stadium, we really need one.
Don't forget the fact this one is a private investment, not part of government agenda as BIC was/is.
