Yes exactly MM,this was done quietly and I wish the tenders are called soon.
In the report above posted by you it is mentioned as the land acquisition may go til the end of this year.
Can the construction work start while the land is in acquisition simultaneously or it should wait until the acquisition is over??

But it will be a kind of that when completed I am sure.
I was just thinking that NHAI will go ahead with tunnels in Shiradi Ghat and that would have cut short some distance and there by minimized environmental damage
I hope a reputed company like L&T executes this

Better to have all the land in hand before starting.
Simultaneous LA has screwed up major projects like the Avinashi-Coimbatore projects where certain people haven't given land thus delaying indefinitely.

I think the tunneling is ruled out and they are going for four or six lane concrete road in Shiradi.

It's the western ghats boss.
You'll have to tunnel somewhere.
NHAI and MSRDC tunneled in less hilly areas like Pune-Kolhapur, this is more hilly than Mumbai Pune.
