@ Choyak: These new towers seem to be in the left bottom of your pic. (at least the lower one of the 2)

Midtown is an endless bunch of scrapers already, but with all those westside developments is getting even bigger!

Very simple and elegant design... it kinda reminds me of the Shanghai IFC.

gorgeous towers. Will the development cover the railtracks running between the 2 towers?

You mean under? Those tracks are under street level.

As for the picture thats posted above, that plot has been or is being redeveloped as we speak. Google Earth pictures of New York are at least 4 years old.

I have mixed feelings about these. They are soaring and modern, yes ... but as finished buildings might they not look a bit banal and uninspired? Comments, anyone?

Well, I think the fact that there is TWO towers lessens any uninspiring feelings you get, since you dont see too often 2 towers 'matching eachother' at this height.
Also, that area could use these towers for those West to East skyline shots to continue to grow.
But I see where you're coming from. Just remember sometimes theyll look better than the rendering

Any1 know what's the chances these are built?

Brookfield withdrew their bid for the Hudson Yards project! I think they had the best looking proposal, though it was only an early rendering...
