Soooo, dumb question here, but are they planning on replanting the crapes in Kiley Park; restoring it to its original luster?

From now on please post all photos from the Tampa area here. No more separate threads for photos. Thanks!

Hi there
I'm an amateur photographer and I'll spend two weeks in Miami and Orlando in October. I'll probably spend a day at Busch Gardens too. Does anybody have any ideas for privileged viewpoints to shoot the skyline at dusk? Looks like Davis Islands and the Channelside Walk Way are good points to shoot cliché images of the skyline.
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my poor English!)
Regards from Brazil.

1. Your English is perfect. No need to apologize.

2. Davis Islands and Platt St. bridge are probably the two most common locations. The views from Harbour Island and from Cass St. bridge are nice as well. Are you going to have a car? There are perhaps some other locations, but they are not as close to downtown.

3. Enjoy your trip and show us the photos you take!

Thanks a lot! It will be my second trip to Florida, and I would like to go a little off the beaten track (Miami-Orlando) that Brazilians often go. As I'm traveling with my family (kids included), theme parks are unavoidable, but I want to take advantage of the trip too (my way, of course ).

I'm going with a rental car, and it looks like the parking decks of Tampa General Hospital provide nice views, but I'm afraid that the security personnel would not welcome a cucaracha with a big backpack and an oversized camera strolling around there. Anyway, I've checked the locations mentioned by you with Google Street View and they look great!

I will surely show my photos of your beautiful State as soon as I return. Once again, thanks for your kindness and your warm welcome!

Top of the parking garage at TGH is good for DT, the top of the garage at St Joseph's and TIA are good to get the whole city. The top of any of the garages in Ybor are pretty good too.

One of my favorite spots for the DT skyline that few mention is from the Causeway Blvd bridge.

Another favorite spot for me is across the river from Blake High School in Seminole Heights. You pretty much get the densest skyline photos from that location. And great to see Downtown active yesterday with the St. Patty Day event.

Thanks for your help, guys! Just one last question: is it ok to shoot from parking garages? I mean, the personnel security wouldn't bother?
Once again, thank you very much!

Looks like you have a good idea about the locations Mike and Jason have named, Keyser - but I've marked some of them (and a few more) just in case.

Nice shots as always, bueller.

Wow, what a nice gift! Thank you so much, koopalicious. I'll make good use of it.
By the way, bueller is giving me very good ideas. Congrats!

As a way to say "thank you", part of the skyline of my hometown. It's pretty different from that of the American metropolises, but rest assured that if one day you give me the pleasure to visit this corner of the world you'll be really welcome too.
