Looks like the Quadrant will get a decent view of the Quay.
Quadrant also gets a good view of the high rise residents in the English elm trees outside the building. There are crows with a nest and a parrot nesting in a hole in the trunk where a branch has broken off.

There were originally 3 of these elm trees planted around 1890 but I see that one has been removed and the remaining 2 have large fungi growing higher up where branches have fallen off. Does not look too healthy. Would be a call to action if this was happening in Melbourne.

Really? Why? Have plans been resurrected or new plans come forward for this site?

New plans. I've seen the DA from May this year. Let's just say it's a juicy ~200m 5 star hotel redevelopment with apartments. It's by HASSELL

Could've changed since though.

Yes. Even the name of the hotel is hated.

Really i would not have thought a juicy 200m plus tower would be suitable for such a narrow site?

I thought the PCC required a wider & bigger block for plot ratio to allow such a sized tower..

Did you not like design some way cool mockup for a 200m plus building for this site yourself several months ago?

I remember you posting on ssc before. I remember saying it was awesum.
