Mega-exciting, as these are the 'skyline changer' class of buildings for Brisbane.

It's quite bulky and is starting to look imposing already. Another 200m worth and it is going to be a monster in Brisbane. In a good way.

Gotta say the new talls like Abian and 1WS have begun the change of our pastel-ish skyline!

Skytower is the bulky older brother. Abian is the sexy younger sister.

I feel like renders don't really get the glass colour right, based on what we've seen to date, I think it will look more like this:

Actually, I disagree. The dark shade of the glass in the little photo you referenced is due to it sitting in the shade of surrounding buildings. Once it gets a bit more height, on a fine day I predict it will be a very vivid blue, much like the colour in this photo:

Yeah I thought it would get lighter as well but I'm not convinced anymore, on a lot of shots, and in particular from a long-distance it just looks pretty dark regardless.

I'd prefer if it did get lighter though!

Alternate version, getting lighter as it goes up, though probs looks funny here with the surrounding buildings being cut out.

I think in the afternoon and morning sun it will look amazing, the glass looks reflective enough.

How will look during the day with the sun high is a bit hard to foresee at this stage
