Steal a building thread

Just a thread for fun... I think this has been done before in other regional forums

If you could steal any building either proposed, approved, or under construction from another city and have it built in your's which would it be.

If you want include a rendering or photo of the building, a photo of your cities skyline and a anything else you want too.

I'll post one later tonight. Gotta go for now.

Not only would I like to see the old Chicago Mercantile Exchange building in New Orleans, it seems like it BELONGS in New Orleans more than Chicago!

OMG....If I ever had to explain the difference between Dallas and New Orleans, the above two posts could not make it any clearer. Both are great cities, but, oh so different!!!

West Harbor from Toronto (photo by Toronto 2008)

I think it would be great across Vine from where Centrepointe is going to go up and adjacent to the transit center (you can see the top of its parking garages two the right of the skyline.

Lexington

Steal the Soleil Center from Crabtree (Raleigh), and take it four miles down the road into downtown Raleigh.

image hosted on flickr

It would fit perfectly between the Wachovia Center on the left and the RBC Plaza (middle).

For OKC I think I'd love to steal the Turning Torso from Malmo, Sweden. I think it would look really awesome across downtown from the 925-ft Devon Tower going up. And it would fit in really well with all of the contemporary architecture going up east of downtown.. there is also plenty of downtown condo demand for a tower like that..

Besides, OKC actually has a pretty big skyline. Malmo, Sweden has no skyline other than the Turning Torso.
